ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR MUTUALAID EXCHANGE MEMBERSHIP
The purpose of MutualAid eXchange (MAX) is to serve the property and casualty insurance needs of Anabaptist individuals and Anabaptist-affiliated entities in places where MAX is authorized to do business. (The Bylaws of MAX prescribe and define this purpose.) The same holds true for MAX Canada Insurance Company, which is a subsidiary of MAX and whose policyholders are also MAX members. The overall goal in implementing this purpose is to be as inclusive as possible for any individual or entity with historical and/or theological ties to the Anabaptist world. In that context, the following criteria can be applied for new MAX policies:
- A member or attendee of an eligible denomination or congregation and their children
(whether or not the children are members or attendees of an eligible congregation).
- An institution/entity affiliated with and focused on serving the Anabaptist community.
- An employee of an institution/entity affiliated with and focused on serving the Anabaptist community.
- An employee of any of the MAX family of companies.
- Any other person or group who applies for eligibility and is approved by the President, and/or MAX board of directors.
Individuals and entities not eligible for participation in MAX/MAX Canada may apply for insurance coverage through either MAX Insurance Agency, Inc. (MAXIA) or Menno Services, Inc. in the U.S. or Mutual Aid Insurance Brokers Company (MAIBC) in Canada.
The following is a list of eligible denominations.
If you have questions about eligibility, don't hesitate to contact us at 1-877-770-7729 or via email at mutualaid@maxwholeness.com.
